Family Business Coaching Course
While family businesses make up over 60% of the GDP and employ over 64% of the US population, the percentages only get higher outside of the US. The demand for leadership coaching in this segment is growing rapidly, and I believe these leaders need coaches who understand the unique complexities of leadership in family businesses.
I designed the Family Business Coaching Course to help coaches specialize in family businesses because they do not operate like a non-family business. Family businesses suffer a unique tension because they operate with two sets of opposing rules. The rules of the business are rational and value profits, competition and meritocracy. The rules of the family are emotional and value fairness, sharing and unconditional belonging. This results in cognitive dissonance, unique power dynamics, and interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict all of which can be addressed with polarity thinking.
Family businesses also operate with entirely different different governance structures and succession strategies that break the rules of traditional business.
The language of family business is different. Leadership in a family business is different. I designed this course to help coaches serve this incredibly important segment of global business more holistically, more ethically and with a greater appreciation for its inherent complexities.
